Excited to Learn More About Our Future

Well, its time to make our first post! We had a great experience yesterday meeting at the Cottonwood Heights Cafe on Highland Drive in Salt Lake City with Keith and Carol Wallace who just returned from Auckland, New Zealand where they served for 18 months as one of two senior missionary couples assigned the Pacific Area office of the Church as Public Affairs Specialists.

They overflowed with enthusiasm and practical information about their assignment in the Pacific Isles.  If we are privileged to serve with another couple anything like them we will be truly blessed. 

We received our call four months ago and our preparations continue.  Two months from today we will speak in Sacrament Meeting.  Then two days later we will travel to Church Headquarters for four days of training by the Public Affairs Department staff, followed the next Monday by a week at the Provo Mission Training Center.  We depart for Auckland on October 26, 2015.
